Day 1 Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
We will have a city sightseeing tour. You will visit Gandantegchilen monastery, followed by a visit to the Sukhbaatar Square and the National Museum of Mongolia. Continue city tour to see historical and beautiful museum of Winter Palace of Bogd Khan. Night in hotel (L)
Day 2 Ulaanbaatar - Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes
We will hike around sand dunes; picturesque Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes, located at the Khugnu Khan Nature Reserve, represents mini Gobi at the Khangai mountain range. Night in Ger camp (B, L, D)
Day 3 Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes - Orkhon Waterfall
After breakfast, we will drive to Orkhon waterfall, biggest one in Mongolia, edge of Khangai Mountain range. The Orkhon River flows 1120 km to north. Also called Ulaantsutgalan, the waterfall was formed by a unique combination of volcanic eruption and earthquakes about 20000 years ago. Orkhon River is ideal for fishing, horse riding and photography. Stay overnight in Ger camp (B, L, D)
Day 4 Horse riding towards to 8 Lakes (4 - 6 hours riding)
We start today our equestrian trek with our Mongolian riders. The next 4 days we leave to explore the beautiful natural site of the "Eight lakes". This ancient volcano encloses in its huge crater, eight alpine lakes in which is reflected the image of the high wooded mountains that encircle them. Dinner and free time. Day 5 Horse riding towards to 8 Lakes (4 - 6 hours riding)
We will continue our riding. Let’s eat picnic lunch on the way. Return to our camp site in the evening, dinner and free time. Stay overnight in family stay (B, L, D)
Day 6 Leave 8 Horse riding towards to Orkhon Waterfall via Duruu Mountain pass elevation of 2400 m above sea level, road are remarkably easy trekking following by Khukh Davaa valley. Stay overnight next to Azarga Lake. Stay overnight in family stay (B, L, D)
Day 7 Horse riding towards to 8 Lakes (4 - 6 hours)
We will back through Orkhon waterfall. On the way we will stay in tourist Ger camp on the slope of the mountain. Stay overnight in Ger camp (B, L, D)
Day 8 Back to Orkhon valley - Tuvkhun monastery
It is one of the Mongolian Buddhist monasteries. It is located on the top of the mountain and surrounding by forests. You can hike about 3 km one side through reach the top. Stay overnight in Ger camp (B, L, D)
Day 9 Tuvkhun monastery - Khustai National Park
After breakfast time, we will drive to Khustai where re-introduction of the wild horses-Takhi (Przhevalsky's horses) has taken place since 1992. Takhi is last wild horse subspecies surviving in the 21st century and became extinct in the wild in the 1960’s. Since 1992, has been successfully re-introduced to Hustai and other parts of Mongolia, from zoos around the world. Arrive at the Hustai National Park, visit Takhi's small museum and leisure hiking in the surrounding mountains while you searching to see wild horse Tahki. Stay overnight in Ger camp (B, L, D)
Day 10 Khustai National Park - Ulaanbaatar
After lunch, we will see around Ulaanbaatar from top of the Zaisan Memorial Hills. We’re going to shopping in cashmere shops. In the evening, attend traditional cultural performance which is one of the most interesting and must see things in Ulaanbaatar with its play of horse headed fiddle, throat singing, contortion, colorful dance and much more. Stay in hotel (L)

The best way to experience Mongolia’s unbeatable combination of natural beauty, cultural riches and unique nomadic lifestyle, is to walk. Trekking in Mongolia is not only a wilderness expedition, but also an authentic cultural experience. Most of days begin with stunning steppe sunrise when the crew brings around hot cup of tea and a warm bowl of washing water.
Accommodation - We provide standard tourist Ger camp accommodations in the countryside. Most of the tourist camps supply the Mongolian traditional dwelling Ger as guest’s accommodation. Normally, three or two beds are in one Ger. If client want to stay alone in a Ger there will be additional charge. The camp provides restaurant/bar, western style toilet, washing facilities and showers. During your horse riding, you will stay with nomad family. It is great opportunity to know about Mongolian nomadic life style and daily life of nomads.
Meal - When you stay in Ger camps, the camp provides meals of mostly western cuisine and also Mongolian traditional cuisine. Most of the Mongolian traditional meal is based on meat, such as beef, mutton, goat, and chicken; even sometimes yak. So, please let us know if you have special request (vegetarian) It is also available to have and taste traditional dairy products when you visit to nomad families. Bottled mineral waters included in all our trips.
Transportation - We recommend 4 WD vehicles, mostly Japanese, Korean and Russian minivans as well as Japanese Jeeps in the countryside. Prices on this tour are based on usage of Japanese or Korean minivans (max 4 passengers for one car with air conditioned) to ensure your highest comfort. We will be driving approx 150-250 kms per day. But it depends on road. If you would like to rent Russian minivan price will be different (5-6 passengers for one car)
Luggage - We suggest that if you carry on your bag as light as possible, it is easy to carry and comfort for you.
